CES Showcase: Mimoco Mimobots!
The Consumer Electronics Show for 2011 was undoubtedly a huge success and perhaps one of the biggest surprises came from Mimoco. Mimoco, who is famous for their unique style of custom USB flash drives called Mimobots depicting everything from StarWars characters, such as Yoda and Darth Vader, to Hello Kitty and many other characters, announced a brand new Batman lineup to add to their already extensive custom flash drive collection.
Mimoco teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to create their DC comic inspired Batman USB flash drives. These new USB drives include the capped crusader himself, Batman, alongside several other well known characters including Robin, The Joker, and Catwoman.
We had a chance to meet with the Mimoco representatives at their booth at CES and were pleasantly surprised to hear how excited they were to be bringing this new DC Comic lineup to their collection. They explained that each new Mimobot is unique and contains its very own preloaded content. For example the Batman USB contains desktop wallpapers, custom icons, avatars, and screensavers.
In terms of specifications, each Mimobot has preloaded digital content, comes in data capacities ranging from 2GB – 16GB, uses Hi-Speed USB 2.0, is PC/Mac compatible, and measures in at 2.5” tall and 1” wide. This new DC Comic series is currently available starting at $19.95 plus shipping all the way up to $59.95 for the 16GB model.
