Maximize Your Promotional Impact with Preloaded USB Flash Drives!
Getting the most for your money in the promotional industry is extremely important. It is almost as important as breathing, but it is very surprising to see that the majority if not most individuals and companies fail to get the most out of their customized USB flash drives. This is rather unfortunate as companies shell out hundreds if not thousands of dollars and are not utilizing the USBs potential.
This is avoidable of course, but how does one go about maximizing their promotions impact? Many get custom printing, some get double sided printing, others buy large print surface USBs and print nice and large customized logos; while others try other customizations. All of these are great techniques to help get your USB drive noticed and increase brand recognition, but that is about half of the equation to increasing your impact. So what is missing?
More often than not, people and companies focus on what is on the outside of the USB drive and never pay attention to what is on the inside. Sometimes it is what’s on the inside that helps increase your RIO. Now this does not mean you should stop focusing on the physical presentation of your custom USB drives, it simply means to pay some little extra attention to the inside as well.
A perfect presentation USB drive will have an attractive customized casing, large easy to read text or an easily identifiable logo, and perhaps some customized USB packaging or USB accessories. It will also have preloaded content! The content on the USB can vary greatly from project to project, but a customized USB flash drive promotion should ALWAYS have at least some form of preloaded content.

Preloaded content can range from something as simple as a picture or audio file, to a full length multimedia presentation with interactive menus and custom sound. Now your preload does not have to be as advanced as the multimedia presentation, but you should at least include some form of preload one way or another.
If you are not sure what to preload, that’s ok. Try putting a simple file on the USB drive with your contact information; similar to like a business card. You could go a little more advanced and include PDF files or movie clips to help give your clients at least a rough idea of what your promotion is all about, but make sure to include some kind of reader or player as not every client will have the necessary software to view your presentation.
Overall, USB Data Preloading is a really big deal and can increase your projects impact on clients greatly. Preloaded content can literally determine if you pick up a client for life, or your drive hitting the bottom of a trash can.
