PremiumUSB Introduces 30 Day Price Lock on Express Flash DrivesAs announced in our last blog, the Chinese New Year is approaching and flash manufacturing facilities will be shutting down for at least a week. Events like this cause spikes in flash drive prices due to a lack of supply. It can easily be said that the number one concern in the promotional flash drive market today is its volatility. One week you can get a price quote, and the next week, the price could go up drastically.

It is for this reason that Premium USB is proud to announce our 30 Day Price Lock Guarantee on Express Drives! With this guarantee, you can rest assured that the price you are quoted from Premium USB is good for 30 days; despite how far the market may spike up. We feel this is a necessary step to ensure our customers a positive promotional experience. After all, it can be rather frustrating to know prices went up since your last quote and you had a change to get them at a lower price.

USB Flash Drives Availability & the Chinese New YearIt is approaching that time of the year again when our friends across the Pacific Ocean take a weeklong vacation from work. I am of course talking about the Chinese New Year! Every year in early February, nearly all business shut down in China for at least one week to celebrate the coming of a new year. For those of you who are interested we are leaving Year of the Ox, and entering Year of the Tiger.

Anyway, since nearly all manufacturing plants are located in China or the surrounding areas, this has a drastic affect on the promotional market. Unfortunately in the promotional flash drive market, this means that orders for fully custom flash drives will be delayed until after the holiday season.

2010: The Year of USB 3.0?2010 kicked off with a bang at the Consumer Electronics Show a few weeks ago. Hundreds of new products and new technologies were on display and ready to be played with. One could say we were as happy as a kid in a candy store to get our hands on these new devices; in particular, USB 3.0 devices!

First it should be noted to our readers that back in 2009, CES did not have much information about USB 3.0 other than the fact that it was “coming soon”. 3.0 specs weren’t officially released yet and the first production USB 3.0 device would be months away. Lucky for us the first known USB 3.0 devices started going into production this last December with big companies like ASUS and Gigabyte leading the charge.

Rock Out with Custom MP3 Players!

Custom MP3 Players From Premium USBAh, do you hear that beat? Well if you can’t it’s probably because you don’t have a cool personalized MP3 player from Premium USB! Just like flash drives, lanyards, etc., custom MP3 players are ushering in a new wave of marketing, but instead of primarily using vision to attract customers, it uses their hearing.

At a busy trade show or industry convention, for example, there might be hundreds if not thousands of companies all promoting their products and services. All of them will be using a variety of ways to attract client’s attentions and most will do this with big signs, colorful slogans, or maybe a gimmick or two. But not many of them employ sound into their presentations. This leaves a niche that you can use to attract new customers through auditory lectures, presentations, or music.

Guide: Maximizing your Print area!

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Utilizing Print SurfaceAnyone who’s ever tried to make something themselves knows just how time consuming their project can become. In the promotional world, there is no room for error or skimping on quality. Today’s guide is to help our readers understand the importance of maximizing Print Area and getting bigger bang for your buck on promotional flash drives!

Ok so it’s a general rule of thumb that bigger is better, and in the promotional world, this reigns supreme. If you were to go to a baseball game, a simple 2’ x 2’ banner in the nose bleed section would not be nearly as effective as lets say posting your ad on the scoreboard. The scoreboard is bigger, is a center of attention, and everyone in the stadium can read it.
