Worlds First USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Thumb drives available this December!
It seems that the world’s first USB 3.0 SuperSpeed thumb drives will be available to buy by the end of the year! The USB thumb drives have no official release date yet, but they are planned for release sometime in December before the holidays. This announcement comes to no surprise considering other USB 3.0 compatible hardware is due to be released in December as well.
Like all other USB 3.0 hardware, this flash drive will reach an impressive speed of 200MB/s with the standard BOT driver and, when coupled with a USAP driver, this USB flash drive will reach speeds up to 320MB/s! As always USB 3.0 SuperSpeed is backwards compatible to USB 2.0, so you wont have to worry about losing all your gadgets once 3.0 hits the shelves.
Due to this advancement in technology, USB 3.0 drives will be able to obtain speeds up to eight times faster than the leading USB 2.0 flash drives; which currently max out at just under 40MB/s. So what does this mean to your average user? USB 3.0 means you will be able to upload or download files from flash drives in fractions of the time as compared to USB 2.0 drives. For example, filling up a 64 GB USB 3.0 drive would take a little over 3 minutes, while a USB 2.0 could accomplish the same task in a little over 26 minutes.
USB 3.0 means a lot to Premium USB because it allows us to offer our customers more time saving options for their next USB projects. Once USB 3.0 becomes available, you can expect to see USB 3.0 products being sold at Premium USB shortly after. This will allow such products as the Accutower Flash USB Duplicator series to transfer large files or larger amount of files in shorter time frames; which can save you much needed time when pre-loading USBs!
