USB 3.0 SuperSpeedWith USB 3.0 SuperSpeed just around the corner, a whole new era in personalized USB drives is about to be unleashed. At Premium USB, we believe that USB 3.0 will soon become the new standard for USB devices by early 2010 to 2011. We are already seeing manufactures releasing USB 3.0 compatible hardware and software, so the future is not that far off.

USB 3.0 SuperSpeed flash drives and other USB 3.0 hardware offer much faster transfer speeds, cost less, are backwards compatible with USB 2.0, use less energy, and allow for bi-directional data transferring. With bi-directional data traveling, unlike USB 2.0 where you could only send or receive data at one time, USB 3.0 devices are able to send and receive data simultaneously.

USBs for Higher Education

USBs for Higher EducationI was recently at a family gathering talking with several of my cousins and nephews and somehow the topic of school came up. Now I remember my elementary through high school years fairly well, but their experiences that they were describing were nowhere close to the experiences that I had. I remember learning cursive, doing math without calculators, and having to hand write everything from notes to assignments. My cousins and nephews, who are much younger than I am, were talking about typing on keyboards and using USB flash drives to carry their assignments instead of folders.
